ColourPop Metamorphosis Collection
Monday, July 13, 2015
Happy Monday! It's been a while since I've been on here but no worries, I'm back for a little bit! For the next week or two, I'll be focusing on shadows...mostly because I just got a whole lot of ColourPop stuff! I'll be doing one set a day until I've gotten through everything I bought. If I get to do any looks with these, be sure to keep an eye out on my Instagram because that's where I'll be posting!
The first collection I'll be showing you is the Metamorphosis collection. This set of shadows comes with very versatile shades that can be used over and over again with practically any other shadow you have.
First of all, I love the packaging...mostly because I love mint to pieces! It's very cute and I'm a sucker for keeping my products in the original boxes. Well, only if it's gorgeous like this.
Here are the 4 shadows that come in the set. These are the descriptions right from ColourPop's website:
- Hope- Radiant opal with pink, violet, blue and silver duo chrome in a Sheer Opal finish
- Bravery- True medium brown in a Matte finish
- Strength- Soft peachy caramel in a Satin finish
- Kindness- Warm red brown undertone with a gold, green and blue duo chrome in a Sheer Opal finish
I found that ALL of these shades were super soft and pillowy. You definitely don't need to do much to get the desired color onto your brush or finger. They are smooth and very blendable. I can see why everyone loves ColourPop so much!
Hope is one of those shades that is the most versatile. It's great for an inner corner pop, but it's also great for layering over other shades. Because of how sheer it is and the opal finish it's got, you can basically transform another shadow into a whole new shade.
Bravery is a great matte brown shade that's pretty much a staple in any makeup collector's stash.
ColourPop describes this as a peachy caramel. There is a very slight shimmer to this that pops off of my skin tone which I love.
Kindness is another one of those transformation shades. Because of it's transforming qualities, it will show up differently depending on your skin tone. Again, pretty sheer, but it helps you create a different look based on the color you put under this.
Finally, here are the shades swatched individually on my arm. This is with no primer underneath. I'm going to try to use these (and the rest of my ColourPop shadows that I got) in different looks for the next few weeks. Like I said, stay tuned on my IG because that's where I'll be showing off these babies!
More from ColourPop:
* Nothing to disclose. I purchased these on my own.
