Wet N Wild Silver Lake 2015 Eyeshadow Palettes
Monday, June 22, 2015
Hey hey! More stuff from the Wet N Wild Silver Lake collection! This time, the shadows! I've had these for a while. I bought them when I got the polishes but I hadn't gotten around to using them yet. What I like about these is that all of the colors complement each other. You can create several looks with the colors provided in each palette.
The first one is called Thrift Store Chic. It's full of soft pink shades with a few bold shimmers. The 4th color in the the most matte in this palette. The texture is pretty soft on these, even for the shimmers. Definitely a step up from Wet N Wild.
Vegan Culture is full of green shimmery shades with white and silver accent colors. These colors aren't obnoxiously bright so you could definitely create a subtle look. Again, texture was soft - some shimmer shades felt a little rough, but I'd still classify them as being soft and very blendable.
California Roll is a super fun palette with bright colors and...well, doesn't it remind you of sushi? California Roll is my absolute LEAST favorite (yea, I'm such a sushi snob) type of sushi, but I can live with this alternative in an eyeshadow palette. Again, soft texture and super blendable colors.
Vinyl Collection is your neutral palette in this set. There's 1 matte shade and 5 shimmer shades. All perfect for an everyday look.
Embrace Obscurity is your blue and purple palette. Again, not super bright (a little sheer actually) so it makes it easy to build your color slowly and create a look that's easy on the eyes.
I got mine at my local Walgreens. These were $3.99 a piece so they're very affordable. They might still be around if you have a good Walgreens store!

These look fabulous! I need to hunt down Vinyl Collection and California Roll.
ReplyDeleteGee, all of these palettes look great. I am having a hard time choosing! Most likely Vegan Culture or Thrift Store Chic would add to my collection
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen these, but I really want the 10pan(i think) that looks like UD Electric palette. I love these too but I have so many little palettes I never use I am afraid they would fall into that hole hehe
ReplyDeleteI saw these at Walgreens, but I passed on them after buying a palette last summer that didn't work to well. After seeing this review, I kind of wish I had picked up one or two. (blythe a. for primebeautyblog.net)

ReplyDeleteI love how some of the names match up with the colors like the sushi and vegan ones. Perfect.
ReplyDeleteEven though I'm not super into pink, I am seriously gravitating towards the Thrift Store palette. So pretty.
