Zoya Ultra PixieDust - Swatches and Review
Thursday, October 23, 2014
Yay, more Zoya! Today i have the Ultra PixieDust trio for you. This trio of pinky-reds will get you into the upcoming holiday season for sure. Let's get right into the swatches and review!
Noir is described as a "deep, vampy plum textured PixieDust with red Mega Hex particles" and I totally agree with that. So, i applied 2 coats of this as I usually do with the Pixies. The only thing is, these don't dry like the typical pixie. There is a jelly-like finish to it. It's gorgeous, but definitely not what you'd expect from a pixie polish.
Arianna has the same type of formula as Noir. This one is described as a "blue-toned red wine textured PixieDust with Mega Hex particles." I absolutely LOVE the color. The first layer is really sheer and doesn't contain a lot of the glitters. As you build up to the 2nd layer (and 3rd if you choose), the glitters become more dense.
If you're looking for a PixieDust that resembles that you're used to in a pixie, then Oswin is the one for you. This one applied like a pixie would and dried like a pixie should. This is a "true red textured PixieDust with crimson Mega Hex particles." I think this one is my favorite of the three just because of the way it actually dries. I applied all of the polishes directly to my nail with no base coat.
Have you gotten these yet? What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
These shades are available now at $10 a piece or you can get the 3-piece sampler set for $30.
As always, check out Zoya's website to purchase and all of their social media to keep up with new releases and promotions!

Noir is definitely my fave, but your swatch is making me rethink Oswin!
ReplyDeleteI love these polishes. Zoya outdid themselves with the sparkles.
ReplyDeleteI love these, especially Oswin, and I really want it but I have such a hard time removing glitter polishes that I still haven't used the 2 I bought at the beginning of summer. You wrote that you didn't apply over a base coat. Just curious, why not?
ReplyDeleteGreat swatches and review on them. I definitely prefer the more sparkly ones but these are nice too.
