Glossybox - August 2014
Wednesday, September 17, 2014
Hi friends! This afternoon, I grace you with the August Glossybox! I know, it's like the middle of September but this soon-to-be momma has been a little busy. This is my very first Glossybox and I do have to say...I'm pretty happy with it!
These boxes are seriously glamorous! They are sturdy boxes that can hold quite a bit of product. I shall be keeping these boxes to store my overflow of makeup and polish until I get more storage units!
This is how everything is presented to you when you open up your package. Every item is pretty much protected by the black paper strips. Shall we move on to the individual items? I have lots to say about them!
Uberliss Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner
Full Size 12 oz | $23.90 each
I've used up my sample of this shampoo and conditioner already. I was glad to get a sample of S&C because I was running low on mine. They both have a very subtle and fresh scent to them. The shampoo doesn't lather as nicely as I would have liked but it did get my long hair clean! What I was most impressed with was the conditioner. It has a very silky formula, a little thinner than most conditioners I'm used to. It actually makes your hair FEEL like it's being hydrated.
Eslor Firming Collagen Day Cream
Full Size 1.7 oz | $85
Full Size 1.7 oz | $85
Okay, so I am usually very picky about my skin creams, especially ones worn during the day. Since my pregnancy has really toyed with my face, I thought I'd give it a try. I only need less than a dime-sized amount to cover my face. It does not have SPF in it, which is okay for me during the work week. It does apply smoothly and it does absorb rather quickly. I can apply any of my makeup over it with ease. Not sure on the firming part of it because I've only been using it for a week, but we'll see!
Kryolan for Glossybox Highlighter in Cashmere
Full Size: .15 oz | $18.95
Full Size: .15 oz | $18.95
This is SUCH a beautiful highlighter. It's creamy, too, which makes it so easy to blend in. I don't think I have anything like this in my makeup collection yet. It works well with my skin tone so that's a plus for me! You only need a tiny bit so this will last a while, even if you use it every day.
Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner
Full Size: .07 oz | $16
Full Size: .07 oz | $16
I have friends that have used Eyeko products before so I was really excited to see this in my Glossybox. I love that I have a mini liquid eyeliner to tote around in my purse on the go! The quality and ease of use is similar to ones that I have used from other brands. I definitely will make use of this product often. The liner part glides on easily and leaves pretty good coverage with just 1 stroke. As with many other eyeliners, you will have to go over it a few times to deepen the color and make your liner pop. That's not a big deal to me.
Sparitual Nail Lacquer - Wilderness
Full Size: .5 oz | $12
Full Size: .5 oz | $12
Lastly, my very first Sparitual polish! I have the color Wilderness which is an orange glitter texture polish. Sparitual polishes are vegan and DBP, toulene, formaldehyde and formaldehyde resin free. This applied fantastically in 2 coats. Swatches shown do have a top coat applied.
