Anytime is a great time to celebrate Mardi Gras, right? Have you ever been to New Orleans during Mardi Gras? I haven't but I would love to go! With this JulieG Mardi Gras polish collection, you can have Mardi Gras any time of the year! These 6 glittery shades should hold you over until next year's celebration! All of these glitters are in a tinted base so keep that in mind when you're choose a base color to put this over. You could certainly wear all of these shades by themselves if you wanted. All swatches are 1 coat of these over 2 coats of the base color and topped with JulieG Jet Set top coat. Let's get on with the swatches!
Trinket is a gorgeous mix of pink and purple glitters in a pink tinted base. I used 1 coat of Trinket over 2 coats of Fierce & Fab. These two pair up so well together. The pink tint of Trinket doesn't change the color for F&F too much. What do you think?
Bourbon Street is a colorful mix of glitters in a gray tinted base. I used 1 coat of Bourbon Street over 2 coats of Black Sheep. I love how all the colors of Bourbon Street pop on the black background.
King Creole is a super bright and fiery gold-bronze glitter mixture. I chose to showcase this on top of Beach Bonfire, an awesome summery shimmer orange shade. I normally don't like putting glitters on top of shimmer shades but I am in LOVE with this combination.
Jamboree is a green, gold, and teal glitter mix in a green tinted base. I used 1 coat over 2 coats of Holla-Peno. Holla-Peno is a slightly lighter green shade so adding the green tinted base over it really helps bring out the colors of the glitters.
Masquerade is a light blue, silver and gold glitter mix in a blue tinted base. I used 1 coat over 2 coats of Cabana Boy. The blue tint of Masquerade really enhanced the look of Cabana Boy underneath. I love how there are so many base color choices to choose from!
Costume Ball is a purple-blue-pink mix of glitters in a blue tinted base that pairs well over Royal Rebel. Unfortunately, Royal Rebel is no longer available but if you have a similar purple shade, this would be perfect over it. **EDIT** Go HERE to get Royal Rebel online while it's still in limited stock! GO GO GO!
