FingerPaints - Pastel Rain Collection
Wednesday, May 21, 2014
Hey guys! Are you still in the pastel groove? I always am! There's just something about a great pastel polish that puts me in a great mood! Here is the FingerPaints Pastel Rain collection. You can get them NOW for $3.99 at Sally Beauty!
I absolutely love how pretty and basic this set is. There are 3 cream pastels and 3 glitter toppers that coordinate with each cream. I love the new look of the FingerPaints bottles and I feel like the brushes are a little wider too. Application with all of these was great.
The pastel pink you see here is called Springtime Bloom. It's not quite a bubblegum pink in my opinion but it's definitely gorgeous. YES, I think another pink polish is gorgeous. I give up on not liking pinks anymore, haha. This is 2 coats.
A Pink of Pixie is a light pink mix of glitters. This is just 1 coat over Springtime Bloom. It wasn't difficult at all to get even coverage with the glitter over my nail. This mix is so dense that in 1 swipe, you've pretty much got your entire nail covered.
Mistful Thinking looks like a really bright lime green...and it is...a little bit. It's definitely softer in person but I absolutely love this. It's almost neon but it applies like a cream. This is just 2 coats.
The complementing glitter to this is called Shower with Flowers. It's exactly like A Pink of Pixie and the coverage is pretty even in just 1 coat.
Dream I Can Fly is a gorgeous blue that's almost like a robin's egg blue. Of course, in person it's much softer and probably is closer to a pastel blue. Application is smooth and opaque in 2 coats.
Crystal Springs is not like the other 2 glitter toppers. This one has all fine glitters and then shards of silver glitter. Very interesting and definitely coats your nail in 1 coat. You so have to place the shards where you want them because of how big they are.

Great collection here. I like the cremes a lot and the glitters go well with them too.
