Hey all! Today's post is on Painted Sabotage - Zaphod's Ego. So, I'm nerd enough to know that Zaphod is a nerdy/geeky reference, but I'm not nerd enough to know WHERE he's from! Well with a little help from Google and my friend Tabitha, we figured out he is from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Moving on, let's get to the polish itself. I was a little nervous about this color just because you don't see it very often...if ever.

The glitters in this look fab but the base scared me...for real.

So really, never judge a polish by its bottle color because this looks nothing like I though it was going to. It actually works on me and I do enjoy it. This is just 2 coats. It isn't too thin and there are just enough glitters to cover my nails.

What was your initial reaction when you saw just the bottle shot? Did your opinion change after seeing it swatched?

Chirality: Frosted Speck

So as with most of the prizes from this giveaway, this one is my first polish from this brand. I wasn't sure how I'd like this polish, but after trying it on, I think I could make it work. Frosted Speck is a sheer peachy polish with white glitters in the mix. I think this only took 2 coats to get opaque. It's topped with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

Hey guys!! When I saw this polish in my prize pack, I was super excited! I love sheer jelly polishes with lots of glitter in them! I don't have too many like this so of COURSE I was thrilled to try it!

Usually with polishes like these, you need 3 thin coats. That's exactly what I did. I do want to mention that this polish had a LOT of glitter. Is that necessarily a bad thing? No, but I actually had to wipe glitters off into the bottle so that all I was painting on was base. I've never had a polish like this where there were too may glitters for 1 swipe. I think it came out pretty good though. What do you think? All swatches are topped with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

I seriously love this polish. I kinda already knew I would, but after swatching it and looking at the pictures over and over again...I just can't get enough!

Hey guys! Yep, that's right! I won this from a Too Faced Scavenger Hunt contest on Facebook. I was literally jumping out of my seat because I've wanted this palette since its release. Now I have it and I am in LOVE!

Can we just talk about the packaging for a second?! Since I really can't have [as much] chocolate on the diet I'm on, this is my ultimate choco fix! I just want to EAT IT! And you know what else? It fricking smells like CHOCOLATE! It's made with 100% natural cocoa powder so yea....it's so dreamy!

One thing I really appreciate is the names of the shadows printed on the plastic protector. Do you guys keep the protectors? I definitely in most of my palettes.

So in order to get the best possible swatches, I split this palette in half and then each half in half. Haha, it'll make sense when you see the pics. I can't say that I'm surprised at how great these shadows are. I LOVE that the matte shades are JUST as pigmented as the shimmer shades. I love a palette than can give me such consistency.

I really wanted to be able to give you my favorite from this side of the palette...but I can't. I love them all but Salted Caramel, Marzipan, and Haute Chocolate are my top 3.

I really love this second half of the palette. There are some subtle colors that brighten up any look but still keeps it looking neutral.

Just like with the other shades, these are also pretty much really pigmented, mattes included. Milk Chocolate is definitely the lightest but it's still got a lot of spunk to it. Amaretto is gorgeous and I love it!

So...have you gotten this yet??? It's $49 but just look at all of the quality shadows! I definitely would have purchased this eventually had I not won it. You can buy it at several locations including Sephora and the Too Faced website.

You can get full opacity with 3 thin coats or 2 thicker coats. I think this is a great color for Spring, especially when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. That's one thing I miss about living in MD - Cherry Blossom Festival in DC.

Zoya Magical PixieDust 2014 - Swatches and Review

Hey all! Is this like the 20th post you've seen on these? You'll definitely get a different perspective of how these look in different lighting, that's for sure! I tried as best as I could to capture how these look on me. I used a gray background for most of the pictures because my white background was reflecting light in all the wrong directions. For the bottle shots below, the first one 1 in direct light while the second one is under indirect light.

All of these applied so beautifully. I used 2 thin coats and it was smooth sailing when applying. I think they maybe dried faster than the usual PixieDust...but maybe I was just really excited to get these swatched.

The first one is Cosmo. It's a silvery, sparkly textured [obviously] polish with bigger holographic glitters in it. I personally didn't mind having the bigger glitters and I really like having them on my nails.

I also wanted to include a super close-up [non-macro] shot of the polish on my nails. Hopefully I captured it well enough for you to see. =)

The second one is called Lux. It's a sweet light pink textured polish with the same holographic glitters. I usually don't like pink...like I always say, but doggone it this one is so pretty!

Lastly it's Vega! Vega was definitely the most difficult to capture on camera. It's a very pretty light blue and as you can see 3 pictures down, it is lighter than the first 2 pictures show.
