If you don't already know about NailNation 3000, then you must be living under a rock! NN3000 is a brand created by my friend Maria. I have known Maria for a few years now, even before she started making polish. She is such an amazing person and has some of the most beautiful polishes!
I am so honored to have been chosen as one of her yearly reviewers. This time, she sent me 7 polishes to review. Her polishes are also a part of Gloss48's special event featuring the NailNation300 brand! Let's get started with the review and then move on to the event!
First up is Awesome Sauce. This is a beautiful bright orange holographic polish. It has been reformulated with even MORE awesomeness! The picture truly speak for themselves. With each swatch, the first pic is taken under indirect light. The 2nd picture is taken directly under a lamp so that the holo effect shows. I have applied 2 coats of polish over NN3000 Skunk base coat topped each mani with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
Next up is Head of the Family. I am a sucker for blue. I am a sucker for holo. This polish was seriously made for me, haha. Show is 2 thin coats. YES! THIN! This is how NN3000 polishes are!
Next is a really nice neutral hologrpahic shade called Nella Famiglia. It looks like it would be really sheer, but in 2 coats, it's just as opaque as any other of her holographic polishes. It's so subtle and could easily be a work-appropriate color.
Here we have Silver Lining. It's a grayish holographic that applies in 2 coats but is possible with 1. I love how you can see the holo flecks even without a direct light source.
What Lies Beneath is a dark purple-gray holographic polish. It's creamy and has the same formula as Silver Lining. You can see the holo flecks without a direct light source.
Ole Black Water is probably one of my favorites. It's so dark, so holographic, and SO pretty! It applies beautifully in 2 coats, has a thin formula, and the holo effect just takes your breath away!
Last we have Spanish Fly. This has gold microglitters and slightly bigger green glitters. Shown is 2 coats. Even though this is a completely glitter polish, it doesn't take too much effort to remove it. You could even try wearing one layer over black, green, or even gold polish.
