em michelle phan - Life Palette Moments - Winter Life: Ice Bunny Edition
Tuesday, December 17, 2013
Hey, hey! I'm back with another em cosmetics review with swatches! This time I took advantage of the Ipsy 30% off code we got in our bags for November. Since I had already gotten a FULL life palette, I wanted to try one of the Limited Edition Life Palette Moments [Minis].
So, just like the previous packaging, it came wrapped up in hot pink tissue paper with a "thanks for your purchase" card.
Here comes the good stuff! I really do LOVE the outside packaging. I love the wintery theme and the cute little bunny on the front cover.
Just like the Life Palette, these Moments have a cute inside cover with looks that can be achieved with this palette. One thing that i didn't like was that it didn't come with a lookbook or a "get the look" card. The only tutorial with this palette is online on the website. I guess that's ok, but it's still nice to get a how-to in the packaging. I do like how I can just pop this palette right out of the box without actually disassembling the entire thing.
Boom, here it is! I love how it still comes with brush to use, but like I said in my original post -- where can you put it in the smaller palettes?
Here's a closeup of this beauty. Can you tell that I pretty much already like it?
The names of the items in the palette.
Okay, now on to the good stuff! I really love the lip glosses in this palette. Both of them are super glossy, very sheer, and totally ME! The peachy blush is also quite amazing! I love how it's got specks of iridescent shimmer in it. Too bad it never snows in FL, lol. Thanks goodness for Winter in a makeup palette!
ALL of these colors had an AMAZING formula! They aren't dry and they aren't creamy. They are velvety smooth...almost satin-like. Black Pumps is a pretty sheer black shadow which is appropriate for a winter "ice-bunny" palette. I do wish Ice Bunny had a little bit more blue tint to it, but I could easily layer this with some of the frosty blues in my Party Life palette.
Overall, I say this was a win! I hear rumors that her new liquid liners will be out in January/February. I absolutely want to get my hands on those. I've been wanting those since the first tutorials were up on her cosmetics site. We'll see if I get them sooner or later, haha.
What do you think of this mini palette? Would you get it for $29? Let me know what em products you have tried!
*All products purchased by me.

Great review!! Snow Day is an especially pretty eyeshadow. I still haven't taken the plunge with em cosmetics, but all of these reviews are wearing me down little by little :p
ReplyDeleteThanks Emma! Yeappppp, the pressure got to me, but only when I could get a really good deal. =) They are coming out with new liquid liners in Jan/Feb so I really want to try those.
DeleteI'm liking the lighter colors of this palette, they look like they go on very well.
ReplyDeleteGreat review and swatches! The packaging on these products are so nice :)
ReplyDeleteThese are great colors, some of them actually resemble those in the Studio Gear Holiday palette. Ice bunny looks fab. Thanks for sharing

ReplyDeleteYes, this is the same size as the travel palette. Everything is magnetic and removable.
