Hey guys! Today I have a post on the brand new Laqa & Co Color of the Month Club! This subscription service begins next month--only a couple days away! It is just $10 a month and you get their "Color of the Month" and a pack of their unique polish remover wipes. Retail value is $18 and you can cancel any time.
The first color of the month is called Nemesis [pictured below]. Be sure to visit the Laqa & Co website in a few days so you can be one of the first to get this color!
The polish remover wipes that come in each month's box are actually really awesome. They are oil based so as it removes your polish it also moisturizes your fingers. These retail for $5.95 normally.
Do you think this is something you'd be subscribing to? I think it's a cool idea. You definitely won't have to worry about not having enough polish remover wipes!
Hey guys! Today's blog post is a review on Lac Attack's new polish collection called Cell Block Tango! It's based on the musical Chicago! I was so excited to get the opportunity to review these polishes because I absolutely adore Chicago. It's got some pretty catch tunes....mhmm!
Below is the set in minis that I was sent for review. I was so pleasantly surprised to find out how BIG these minis were! They are 6ml whereas the typical minis are 3-4ml.
Here is a brief description of each color in this set as described by Lac Attack:
- Uh-Uh: Uh-Uh is a purplish/magenta color with a beautiful shimmer.
- Lipschitz: Lipschitz is a lovely medium green shimmer and tiny charcoal-colored flakies.
- Cicero: Cicero is a deep purple shimmer with coppery flakies.
- Squish: Squish contains black, gunmetal silver, and red glitter in hexes and bars.
- Pop: Pop contains hot pink and black matte glitter in circles and hexes in a clear base.
- Six: Six contains six different kinds of metallic glitter in a clear base, in green, purple, and blue!
All swatches below are shown with top coat.
So let's begin this wonderful review with Uh-Uh. This is pretty much exactly how Lac Attack describes it. It's a beautiful purple/magenta shimmer polish. It does shimmer more with a top coat on than without. I applied 2 coats of this polish and if you do decide to wear this without a top coat, it does appear suede-like.
Jade green shimmer polish. Yes please! I also applied 2 coats of this and it performs just like Uh-Uh. I am disappointed how little the flakes appear on the nail though. They just get hidden by the gorgeousness that is the GREEN SHIMMER. This is an appropriate green for any time of the year. Get your holiday nail art ideas ready with this one!
YAY, the third shimmer finish in this collection! Again, the flakies disappointed me because you honestly can't see them with all the purple shimmery goodness. I DO love how deep this purple color is though. At first glance, especially looking at the brush right out of the bottle, it looks a bit grayed out. Don't worry though because with just 2 coats anda top coat, you'll have a perfect Fall purple mani.
Gimme all the bar glitters! Gimme all the hex glitters! SQUISH them all together and make it a glitter topper! At first glance, doesn't this look like the epoxy garage floor? I always loved that look. I also really love this glitter topper. I applied just ONE coat over 2 coats of China Glaze Recycle. The formula is not thick at all and you get a GREAT base to glitter ratio. Definitely recommend this to any glitter lover out there.
Pop is a bright and fun glitter topper. As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to use China Glaze Surreal Appeal under it. Although it cancels out most of the similarly colored glitters in this mix, I LOVED how it looked on my nails.
Green, purple, and blue glitters. Who wouldn't love this? It looks amazing in the bottle and I thought I would love this to pieces! I applied 1 coat over 2 coats of China Glaze Four Leaf Clover. I didn't love this one as much as I thought I would. Don't get me wring, it's a GREAT topper with GREAT glitters. It just wasn't my cup of tea.
So, which one of these is your favorite??? Mine would probably have to be Squish or Pop for sure!
Be sure to check out this collection and get social with Lac Attack!

Hello everyone! Today I have another review for nail art items from kkCenterHK. This time I thought it would be fun to try out some nail art bows. I didn't have any before this one so I wanted to choose a color that was out of my comfort zone and something that I could wear often. Below are the two products I chose and was sent to review.
Anytime I do nail art, I always end up choosing a JulieG Nail color. Is that a coincidence? Probably not. This time I chose to use Shoe-A-Holic as a base. It is a slightly darker pink that what is on the bows and it's also a good base for the gold and while glitters in this glitter polish.
So, I started out with 2 coats of Shoe-A-Holic. I applied the glitter topper with just 1 coat. This topper container white hexes of different sizes, white bar glitters, gold hexes, and multidimensional purple glitters. It is sort of a thick polish, but it applied real smooth and the glitter to base ratio isn't too bad.
For my ring finger, accent finger, I applied a top coat and then gently applied the 3D nail art bow. It stuck to my nail just fine with top coat, but if you want to make sure it stays on, you can also apply it with nail glue.
When the glitter polish has dried, apply the top coat on top of that and you're done!
I really enjoyed these two products. The quality is there and it's really fricking adorable! I don't own a glitter topper like this one so I'll probably be using it quite often.
So, yay, thank you for stopping to read another nail art post and review! What did you think? Do you like what I did with these two items?

Hey guys! I'm back with another Ipsy Glam bag! This time it was a TON of eye stuff, but I'm pretty okay with that. I can use everything so it wasn't a disappointment at all. As always, the breakdown of the products and value will be down below.
- Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm - Big Apple: 0.14oz size for Ipsy | Full size is .16 oz: $19. I'm counting this as basically full size. It's going to last me FOREVER!
- Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter crayon: Full Size is $18. This one looks to be almost full size but I'm not sure. Again, will last me forever.
- Elizabeth Mott It's So Big Mascara: 4ml About $10 | Full Size 10ml $19.99
- Nyx Single Eye Shadow Hollywood: Full Size $4.50
- Starlooks Kohl Eye Pencil in Obsidian: Full Size $12
Basically, the total retail value of this bag is about $63.50...maybe $60 if the Chella is not full size. Again, completely WORTH my $10 this month.
Okay, so now for my thoughts on each of the products. I'll have a completed look as well as a video at the bottom of the post!
So, i was completely impressed with my Cailyn gel eye liner from my June Ipsy bag so I was hoping that this tinted lip balm would have the same payoff. It totally did! I applied this over a sheer lip balm and it stayed on for hours! I went out to dinner with some friends over the weekend. I had this product on for about 6 hours or so before my lips started peeling. I didn't have my sheer balm with me so I couldn't moisturize. Still, this lasted a lot longer than any other lip product I own.
I don't have a highlighter pencil or product so I was happy to get this one in my bag. It goes on smooth and it blends out nicely. Because you don't need much of this, it's going to last you a while, even if you use it every single day.
I don't yet have a GREAT volumizing mascara. This one appears to have a fibrous formula which will lengthen and volumize your lashes. It did that, for sure, but I don't think this one is waterproof. I have an issue with mascaras that aren't waterproof. For whatever reason, I NEED my mascaras to be waterproof always.
I love Nyx products, but the color payoff with this one is close to nil. I will use this more as a highlighting color or for my inner corners. It has an amazing amount of SPARKLE, but the opacity sucks.
Finally, my Starlooks kohl eye pencil. It surprisingly went on fairly smooth for me. It didn't take long to line my lash line and I didn't have gaps or pulling. It might be a pain to have to sharpen this after so many uses, but hey, when I want soft and smoky eyes, I'll turn to this pencil right here.
So that's it for the products! I created a very quick look with all of this so be sure to check it out!
Watch the video to find out how I got this look using ALL the products in my bag this month!

Hey guys!!! Today I have the NEW Zoya Zenith Winter 2013 Collection for you! As soon as I saw some sneak peeks of these polishes, I KNEW I wanted them and would love them forever.
This collection is made up of 6 GORGEOUS wintry colors that really make you want winter to come RIGHT NOW! Here is a list of all the color names and descriptions by Zoya:
- Seraphina: Polaris Silver Metallic
- Cassedy: Celestial Pewter Metallic
- Belinda: Cosmic Purple Metallic
- Payton: Galactic Cranberry Halo
- Dream: Deep Space Blue Halo
- Mosheen: Astro Ice Blue Topper
I'm going to just jump right in to my thoughts on each color below. They are all shown with a top coat and taken in the best lighting possible. Enjoy!
First up is Seraphina. This is a gorgeous white/silver metallic that just looks like snowy frost on your windows. I am partial to loving this color...and name...because this was my confirmation name when I decided to become Catholic before I got married. It's only fitting that it's a shade of white. I applied this with three thin coat to reach full opacity. This could easily be worn sheer, but be careful of bald spots and splotches.
Cassedy is described as a pewter metallic but it has some green hints to it. No matter which angle I held my nails or the bottle, I couldn't get away from the green. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I think Claudine from the Fall Satins collection is more of a pewter. This is 2 even coats. I personally don't think this is a 1-coater nor do I advise it. It would take a pretty thick coat of polish and I like to keep my polish neat and thin.
Let me tell you a thing or two about Belinda. First....WOW. Second....WOW! This purple is completely perfect for the Fall OR Winter. Cosmic purple metallic, says Zoya...Indeed. The shine that emanates from this polish is unreal. I also love the multi-dimension flecks that come off in certain light. I honestly did not want to take this one off after I applied it. Simply delightful!
Oh Payton. So, EVERYONE has been going gaga over this color and now I know why! Even though it has somewhat of a jelly-like formula, you have to be careful, again, not to create bald spots of splotches. To make sure that this was at full opacity, I applied 2 coats and then a super thin 3rd coat to make sure I was good to go. This is such an amazing berry delight on your nails. It's BERRY sparkly! Even though it contains a ton of glitter, it's super easy to get off. I didn't find myself having to scrub glitters off of my nails. If you only purchase ONE from this collection, make sure it's Payton.
Dream is a dream. Corny, right? But it's true! Dream is just like Payton, except for color, of course. Think of a clear winter night right before it's supposed to snow. The cold brisk air takes your breath away and you're left with this pretty baby.
Last but not least, Mosheen. Okay, so I didn't feel like this glitter topper belonged over any of these colors in this collection. I also don't own as many blues from Zoya as I would have liked. I will, however, tell you which colors I used and which Zoyas would closely match those colors. Each nail has just 1 coat of Mosheen followed by a layer of top coat.
- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Breezy Blue = Zoya Blu
- China Glaze - Hanging in the Balance = Zoya Robyn crossed with Breezi
- China Glaze - First Mate = Zoya Natty
- Zoya Sailor - YAY, it's a Zoya!!!!!
My favorite? Well, Seraphina, Payton, Belinda. YES!
