Product Review: étoile - Greenwich St. Soiree Collection

Erin from étoile has done it again! This time it's with two BEAUTIFUL colors that are just perfect for Spring! It's called Greenwich St. Soiree [inspired by New York City's West Village] and includes a "crisp mint green" and a "bold hot pink."

Now, you all know how I am about pink, but I think this one has definitely changed my mind...at least in the nail polish department.

This pink is called Pink Panache. It's a one-coater! Well, I was able to one-coat it on my nail with no problems. The pics are shown with a layer of top coat.

The second polish in this collection is called Fizzy Cucumber. The name is perfect! The specks of diamond dust throughout this minty green makes me think of sipping fancy sparkling cucumber water. Mmmmmmmm.

This applied in 2 easy coats and is shown with one layer of top coat.

I am absolutely in LOVE with both of these colors. They are the perfect pair and I'll probably be wearing these well after Spring and Summer.

Are you getting tired of me talking about Jesse's Girl and Frosted Gum Drops yet? Haha, well, today Jesse's Girl posted a tutorial from Vampy Varnish for a Springtime Dotticure.

Well, since I love trying out my Gum Drops on EVERYTHING, I decided to use them to for this look.

I used a light blue as a base and then Blueberry Fizz, Rock Candy, and Crushed Candy for the dots.

Product Review: Ruby White Tips

Hey guys! So, today I have 2 unreleased polishes from Ruby White Tips. These 2 are from her Kaleidoscope Collection and are super beautiful.

The first one is a sort of red, color shifting microglitter called Dangerous Trick. I took several pictures of it alone and then on top of black. It's always good to see how a polish stands alone, but I knew as soon as I put it on that I had to use it over black.

Boy was I happy I did. The polish applied really smooth [just 1 coat] over the black. I only used 2 coats when I swatched it alone.

In the pictures below, you can see hints of orange and yellow come out depending on lighting and the angle. It's even more vibrant over the black.

The second polish is probably my favorite of the two. It's called Capricorn. I just can't stop looking at it! This is definitely the highlight of the collection in my opinion...even though I only know 2 of the colors in it!

It's very subtle alone, but again, over black, the colors just jump right out to you! I used 2 coats of it alone and 1 coat over the black.

Overall, I am quite pleased with the way these came out. I want to thank Ruby White Tips for letting me try out these two colors.

Hey friends! So this is a quick post to show you the mani I had on for my friend's engagement party. I mostly did this because I needed a mani that was relevant. These two colors basically scream her taste. Since it was a party that revolved around her, this was the obvious choice.

I used two colors from the Julep March It Girl box -- Shenae and Teri. Again, the formulas for these both rubbed me the wrong way, but after top coat and dots, it basically looks perfect.

These are also my first pictures with a black backdrop. Do you like this better? I think it makes the nails pop even more.

Blueberry Fizz: Fresh Blueberries!

Hello, friends! No surprise here! I have the Julie G Frosted Gum Drops in Blueberry Fizz with a blueberry accent nail, duh!

Here's what I used to create the accent nail:

etoile Asscher | OPI DS Magic | Priti NYC Gloire de Marengo | Julie G Blueberry Fizz

I painted all my fingers, except the ring finger, with 2 coats of Blueberry Fizz.

Then, I painted one coat of Asscher on my ring finger. I used it so that I'd have a nude base with just the right amount of shimmer.

When Asscher dried, I took a small dotting tool to draw a stem and leaves going diagonally across my nail.

Use a slightly bigger dotting tool to create blueberries all along the stem with the Blueberry Fizz.

Add small dots with DS Magic to create the "tops" of the blueberries.

I didn't use a top coat at all for this mani.

Tangerine Dream: Tangerine Slice

I know you're not surprised to see another Frosted Gum Drops on the blog. Today I bring you tangerine slices with Tangerine Dream and Bundle Monster plate BM 308.

My original idea was to freehand, but I just don't have a brush thin enough for this yet. I remembered that I just may have a stamping plate with little orange slices on it.

Yep, I sure did! I thought this was such a cute idea! It's a very simple mani too.

Paint on 2 coats of Tangerine Dream and let it dry completely! I added top coat to each finger except my ring finger. It still dries with texture, but now you've got some extra shine.

Using Konad white and BM308, stamp on the orange slice image.

BAM, you're done! I hope you like this quick and cute mani idea!

By now you know I'm obsessed with the Frosted Gum Drops collection by Jesse's Girl Cosmetics and Julie G. Well, recently I won a Jesse's Girl Cosmetics prize pack by Beauty Tidbits.

In it was a Julie G polish called Cherry On Top. I hadn't used it yet but when I got Hot Cinnamon I just knew the two colors would be perfect together.

Sometimes working with textured is difficult to make a great manicure, so here is something easy for you to try.

I painted the Cherry On Top on my pinky, middle, and pointer finger. After that's dry, paint on a layer of top coat.

Then I painted my ring finger and my thumb with the Hot Cinnamon.

Using a small dotting tool, I created an outline of dots with my Hot Cinnamon on the nails that had Cherry On Top.

No need for a top coat after this since you now have textured polish on your nails. Easy peasy, and cute!

What do ya think?? My husband said they look like pants pockets, hehe.
