Julep Valentine's Day Mani
Tuesday, February 05, 2013
It's getting closer to Valentine's day! Are you going to be sporting a Valentine's mani? If so, will be it traditional or non-traditional?
Well, I'm all about the non-traditional, no-pink mani. Today's design just has a SMIDGEN of pink, for the heart of course.
Over the weekend, I stumbled upon Michelle Phan's video for a cute heart template made from bandages. Yup! I was like, dang, that's pretty clever.
Recently, I've been doing saran wrap manis and I LOVE them! When I got my February Maven box, I was like...yea, I know what I'm gonna do with these colors.
So, I used Julep Morgan, Marion, and Joan along with the Freedom Polymer top coat that also came with my Feb Maven box.
The steps are pretty self explanatory, but if you have questions, ask away in the comments or on my Facebook!
By the way, Freedom applies like a dream and dries super glossy and smooth.
I also wanted to point out that if you didn't want to add the heart for Valentine's Day, I REALLY love the way the saran wrap mani turned out. Just simply stop at step 4. =)

It looks awesome! I love hearts, I don't know what I'm doing for Valentine's day though!
ReplyDeleteI've never done a saran wrap mani before, so I really have no idea what you did after step 2 to get that marbled look. Did you just smush the saran wrap on top of the wet polish? I'm confused =(
ReplyDeleteHi Hannah! You use a balled up piece of saran wrap to lightly lift off the polish. I have a video if you want to watch that. I have also used the saran to dab on polish as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dF9fSjpGZk0
