Milani Fierce Foil Nail Lacquer
Monday, April 06, 2015
Hello, hello! Remember all the Fierce Foil makeup I posted about a couple weeks ago? Well here are the Milani Fierce Foil polishes from the same collection. I'll tell you now, I'm not sure how I feel about these. They have a different feel to them overall. They aren't just metallic polishes - it's like the metallic formula is also scattered with little micro-sheets of foil. I guess that makes sense - FIERCE FOIL. On to the swatches! All are 2 coats with no top coat.
Capri is a "punchy petal pink" - definitely fierce! I like the color, I'm just not sure how I feel about the application. It took a little effort to get it even and smooth, but it didn't take any more time than usual to paint my nails.
Florence is a "sage meets seafoam" green polish. I actually used to wear a shade of green like this way back in middle school. So, as you can see, there is a bit of texture to these metallic polishes - where the "foil" effect comes in.
Venice is a "sheer sapphire" polish - I see specks of purple too which I love! This one applied pretty smoothly with no too much of the foil effect to it. This is one of my favorites from this collection.
Okay, I lied, Rome is also a top choice. This brushed orchid shade is so delicate and pretty - how could you not love this? I also fail to see the foil effect, which is okay by me.
If there was ever a polish to have a foil effect, it would be this one. Milan is a super gold polish that makes your nails look like a million bucks. I have polishes very similar to this but none like it. I think I might get used to the foil effect if they could all look like this one.
Last one up is Sardinia - a shimmery whitecap shade. It's sheer and delicate so again, the foil effect doesn't come screaming through on this one. I rather like it that way.
So, are these Fierce Foil polishes your thing or not? Give them a try. They start at $3.99 at your local CVS store so why not give them a go?

Not a fan of these bottle shapes but the colors are nice. I really like that gold.
