Who loves a good skin care post? I know I do because my skin is normally very predictable but ever since I got pregnant, it's been a constant battle between super dry and super oily. When my skin would get dry and flaky, I'd use a mild exfoliator scrub and then moisturize my face making sure to hit any particular dry areas.
Today I have a new exfoliator product to share with you. This is the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. It's a dry, rice-based powder that, when activated with water, releases Papain, Salicylic Acid and Rice Enzymes that micro-exfoliate dead cells. I love exfoliator scrubs that are gently enough to use daily or at least 4 or 5 days of the week.
I've been using this at nighttime only. As soon as I use it, my skin feels amazing. My face isn't too dried out and it immediately feels smoother. The instructions say that after normal cleansing, dispense about 1/2 teaspoon of powder into your very wet hands and rub your hands together to make a lathery paste. From there, work it into your skin avoiding the eye area.
It does have a very rice-y smell, of course, and I don't mind it one bit. It rinses of cleanly with warm water and leaves no residue at all.
