Hey all! Long time since you've seen a Julep post from me. Well, I really wanted to get my hands on the May box because of all the hype and curiosity about the Plie wand. I also usually get the It Girl box but decided to try the Bombshell box because these colors just looks SO juicy! The pink is called Laree and the orange is called Saaya.
I love the golden hue to this pink. It's definitely appropriate for summer and it actually shows on the nail. So many times i have tried a polish that looks amazing in the bottle and then when it's applied, NOTHING! Laree has definitely impressed me. It only took 2 coats to get full coverage.
Saaya took 3 coats to get to full opacity. The shimmer also appears on the nail and I love it. I would definitely wear these two colors together in one mani. Like I said, I loved this option because these colors are so juicy and so summer-appropriate.
Okay, I have a REALLY quick thought on this Plie wand. It is completely unnecessary with the Julep polishes. The Julep brushes have a long handle anyway AND the length of the brush is super long that this alone compensates for the lack of length from some of the other brands of nail polish. That said, I never needed a balance aid for my brush and I do feel like I get good balance just from the original Julep brush alone.
