Born Pretty Store - Feather Water Decals Review
Thursday, August 15, 2013
Hi everyone! I'm so sorry that I've been sort of away this week...on my blog anyway. I try to be social on Facebook so be sure to like my page for daily conversations!
Today I have this 11-piece Feather Nail Art Water Decal Sticker sheet from Born Pretty Store. I didn't realize that it came with this many so when I got it in the mail, I was so surprised and so happy!
Today I'll be using the pink, purple, and yellow nail art water decals.
Okay, so since I'm using delicate colors, I decided to put them over a delicate color -- JulieG Fairytale. I used 2 coats for this mani. You'll notice my super short nails. I had a sad, sad, diagonal break on one nail and 2 tears on 2 other nails. I'm starting fresh!
Application is not what you think it would be. I thought these were like nail tattoos almost...and they kind of are. What you do is, like most decals, cut out the one you want to use.
- Peel off the top layer of plastic.
- I took a cotton swab dipped in water and soaked the underside [paper portion] of the decal cutout.
- After about 5 seconds, you can slowly slide the decal off the paper backing. It isn't sticky so you have a little bit of time to place it on your nail.
- After the decal is placed, smooth it out gently with your fingers and then let any remaining water dry. You can also sop it up with dry cotton or a lint-free wipe.
- Apply a top coat and you're done!
I really loved how easy these were to apply. I also love that the decals weren't sticky so if I needed to adjust the placement of any of my decals, I could do so before I smoothed it out.
These babies are only $4.73 and, of course, FREE shipping! I'd get my hands on these if I were you. They have a ton of deseigns to choose from, so check out all their water decals!
