Feeling Fancy with a Glitter Gradient
Thursday, July 11, 2013
Hey, a few weeks ago I won a flash giveaway type of thing with Ruby White Tips on their Facebook page. I was asked if I wanted to try a scented polish. I said yes because I really do love things that smell delicious.
So, in the mail came a tiny package with this little gem: Time of Our Lives. It's a grapefruit scented polish [optional without the scent] that is chock full of different sized silver holo glitters. BAM! The name alone made me feel fancy and I thought, "What better polish to pair this with than For Audrey?"
So, I applied 2 coats of For Audrey and let that dry. To make it easier for glitter application, I applied a top coat, let that dry, and then started to build my gradient.
I love how this looks. It's so sparkly and elegant! Now, the scent. I think its hard to get a grapefruit scent into a polish, but this one isn't too bad. It's a bit sweeter than I would imagine it to be, but if you're sensitive to smells, then this might not be for you.
So, how did my gradient turn out? What other colors would you try this over?

ReplyDeleteBeautiful duo! I adore those Tiffany style blues and the holo glitter is so delicately lovely over this.

ReplyDeleteLOVE this look!!! That blue is really close to the Polish with no name, It's the light blue with silver sheen to it. (Even though it's sold out, I think I can find some) wink wink. KATSFANS is back on!!! For 20% off the entire purchase!! (Mystery bags not included) Thanks again Kat!! Your nails always look so beautiful!!!! La

ReplyDeleteSuper pretty-looks fab! I reckon it'd look amazing over a navy/dark blue shimmer!
